The Facilities and Commercial Activities Service of the Department of Operational Support is pleased to announce the introduction of QR codes in all elevator cars for staff to report issues with the elevators more easily.

To report an issue with an elevator car, scan the code with any smartphone and it will open an email to the facilities helpdesk unhq-facilities@un.org .The code automatically populates the email subject line indicating which elevator car was causing the problem. All you need to do is type in the email what the issue was.?

Examples could be “the car did not stop on my floor”, “the elevator made strange noises”, or “the door did not fully open”. Whatever the issue was, please let our technicians know and we will investigate.?

If you are unable to use the QR code, issues can also be reported via e-mail (unhq-faciliites@un.org) or by calling (212) 963-9999.?Please include the elevator car number, which is displayed both inside and outside of the elevator as well as on the QR code.
