The sixth edition of the Protection of Civilians (PoC) week will take place from 22 to 25 May 2023.
It will include a series of side events related to issues raised at the annual Security Council Open Debate on PoC, which will be held on 23 May, 2023. The Secretary-General’s report on PoC is also presented on the same day. PoC Week will be coordinated by Switzerland (who is holding the Presidency of the Security Council this month), Belgium, CIVIC/International Rescue Committee and OCHA.
