On 15 June 2022, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations convened a “Briefing on Efforts on Combating Antisemitism". The Holocaust and the United Nations Outreach Programme was invited to present its work. The briefing was attended by members of the UN diplomatic corps and UN-associated NGOs.
The meeting aimed to present efforts by relevant stakeholders to combat antisemitism including across the UN system, and explore ways to develop a system-wide response on combating antisemitism across the UN system. The briefing served as an opportunity to present the EU Strategy on Combating Antisemitism and Fostering Jewish Life (2021-2030) adopted by the European Commission on 5 October 2021.
