ALEJANDRO GUILLERMO FERRER L?PEZ, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Panama, said the United Nations is helping to achieve social progress in the world, which is united by solidarity.  The constant stream of events over the past 75 years has tested the ability of multilateralism.  The pandemic has tried the institutions of the United Nations.  The Organization is at a turning point and must adjust.  A new United Nations architecture is needed.  The world has changed and will never be the same.  Multilateralism has a unique capacity to solve problems at the global level and can promote cooperation.  The international community must renew its commitment to global progress.
