Synopsis:

The documentary?Alias Ruby Blade?focuses on the independence of Timor-Leste, told through the story of Kirsty Sword Gusm?o, human rights activist and former First Lady of Timor-Leste. Once an aspiring documentary filmmaker, Kirsty worked for a time for the Timorese resistance in Jakarta, where she was known under the nom-de-guerre Ruby Blade and became acquainted with Xanana Gusm?o, then leader of the resistance and later the country¡¯s first president.?
